Visual Portfolio

Welcome! All graphic design and video content on this website, including all logos and images, are designed and produced by me. Feel free to look around other parts of the site for a varied look at my work, this page will contain curated samples.

About Me

I have been working in Graphic Design and Video Production for many years, both privately and professionally, creating personal projects, large scale video and photo productions, and managing creative content. I have years of experience in all Adobe Suite programs, as well as dozens of other content creation, editing, and design software. Hopefully, you will see my design strengths in the following work. I have strong experience in terms of creative workflow and multimedia development. As you will see scrolling through my work on this page, I have used a variety of techniques to accomplish my creative goals. For example, creating album covers usually involves multiple stages - sketching out a design or blueprint in Canva, exporting to photoshop to create specific visual details and color correct any photographic images, and then compiling the different aspects within one development environment. This is especially true of my later video productions, in which the workflow contained various stages of development, from compiling the raw footage in Adobe Premiere, color correcting and parsing all footage, assembling it on the timeline, and editing sound.

Media is a vitally important part of higher education, and society as a whole. It has the power to shape public opinion, change minds, and open doors. The thought put into design concepts and formats should be intense, and not taken for granted. From color to spacing to font style, all aspects of visual design should be thoroughly considered. A good design is often simple, but must convey some sort of meaning in every detail. Nothing should be “just there.” It all has a purpose.

Hopefully you will get a sense of my design skills and visual literacy through my design choices in the following examples. Things such as my font choice (use as few fonts as possible, only use different fonts in a design to communicate distinction), brand consistency (that’s a big one, and the style and color choices of media should communicate the “feel” and identity of the brand), and spacing (where do things go on the image - and why?) should be apparent in my work, and my passion for creativity and having a sense of fun will hopefully shine through as well.

Images

I host and manage all marketing and graphic design for a movie podcast, Not Qualified. This podcast posts weekly, and I design and coordinate social media posts on a weekly basis. The logo is also my work, and is sold on lots of different types of merchandise, including posters, shirts, stickers, and mugs.

I’m also a songwriter, and have released a few albums. Here are some of my album covers I have designed, as well as some personal logos.

Video

Now, let’s move on to video productions. Firstly, I will showcase the music videos I have produced for my own songs.

This is the music video for my song “Doghouse.”

This is the music video for my song “More Time.” It is primarily a lyric video, with some shots of other things spread throughout. All footage shot, edited, and color corrected by me.

This is the funny announcement video for my retro album!

This music video was entirely shot, edited, color corrected by me to look like VHS footage. Shot on iPhone.

Another video from my “Videomelody” album. Very strange concept that I’m proud of here.

This is my music and lyrics video for my song “I Wish I Was in Love.” It was shot on vintage Super 8 film in Florida, color corrected and edited into digital footage by me.

This video is shot, color corrected, edited, and performed by me.

A music video from my retro “Videomelody” album.

This is the music video for one of my songs, “Again, My Love.” It was shot on an old, early-2000’s camcorder and then color corrected and edited by me.

This next section of videos is unrelated to my music, and is a collection of footage shot, edited, and corrected by me into short vignettes.

Here are video’s I shot and edited and color corrected for the Not Qualified Podcast, when we do the occasional video episode! Also, feel free to browse this YouTube Channel to view my video thumbnail work.
